If you’re adding shelf pin holes to an existing piece of furniture or building shelves from scratch, the Shelf Pin Jig is the perfect tool for the job. Unlike other shelf pin guides, the Kreg Shelf Pin Jig features hardened-steel drill guides that ensure precise and straight drilling, so you’ll get level, wobble-free shelves.

The Shelf Pin Jig also includes a dual-position, adjustable fence for custom hole placement, a locating pin for quick and accurate spacing reference, a jig extender that lets you connect multiple Shelf Pin Jigs together for high-speed production work and an ultra-sharp 5 mm (3/16") brad-point bit with depth collar that can be stored on the bottom side of the Shelf Pin Jig when not in use.

Hardened-Steel Drill Guides
Unlike thin and flexible guides, the hardened-steel drill guides of the Kreg Shelf Pin Jig ensure that each and every hole you drill is perfectly straight and true. Plus, all Kreg hardened-steel drill guides come with a lifetime warranty.

Perfect for Building or Adding Holes to Existing Furniture
The compact size of the Shelf Pin Jig makes it perfect for adding additional shelf pin holes in existing furniture, as well as for building projects from scratch. Need more length for additional speed? Connect multiple Shelf Pin Jigs together with the included Jig Extender.

Tool-Free Quick-Switch Fence
The built-in Quick-Switch Fence allows you to set your pin holes 1" (25 mm) or 2" (50 mm) from the edges of your project. The fence can be easily removed and swapped to the other side of the jig, or removed completely when you need to work inside a confined space.

Standard Hole Size and Spacing
Kreg hardened-steel drill guides are centred on standard 32 mm/1.25" spacing. The jig comes complete with a 5 mm (3/16") drill bit that fits commonly available shelf-pins. A 1/4" (6 mm) drill bit is also available separately.

Very handy tool

I don't have one yet but I do plan to get one soon. Now you need to design a similar tool for drilling bench dog holes. The Woodpeckers version is way too expensive!

Great product

I was a little worried about the price but it was well worth it. The jig worked perfect the first time I ever used it, the holes were perfectly line up every time. This is absolutely worth the price.

Nearly excellent!

A good piece of kit, obviously with limitations depending on where you want to place your holes. They give you a joining piece to add on another jig but a separate add on jig is not available - you have to buy the whole kit. A bit of a waste and why I can't give it 5 stars.

Sometimes too wide

I have the Shelf Pin Jig and it does a great job when you have new construction and have not put anything together. However I tried to add shelf pin holes to a cabinet where I need the holes 3/4" from the edge but there is an adjoining piece 1 1/2" from the edge. There is no way to fit the jig in the space. I have thought about buying another jig and cutting down the drill guide plate just shy of the gussets of the drill guides to make it narrower. But I don't need the entire jig kit. Just the drill guide plate which is not sold separately.
